No Olympic Gold, but Gymnastics Changed My Life

In Milwaukee, our local public radio station, WUWM, airs a program called Lake Effect, which listeners can submit essays to and share on the air. I submitted my first piece there recently, and it aired today. It’s about what gymnastics meant in my life. So, if you are interested and have a few minutes, please feel free to have a listen and let me know what you think:

Even Without a Gold Medal, Gymnastics Changed Her Life

That’s me, back in the day, right ankle wrapped after the injury I mentioned in the essay. So writer friends, that’s another way to get your work out there. It was fun being in the studio, meeting Bonnie North, Arts Producer at Lake Effect, and playing a little Frazier. I hope I can do it again soon.

Hope you enjoyed the essay — would love to hear your thoughts. Happy #writing!
